Our central staff are:

Matthew Martin, Director, formerly with the World Bank, Overseas Development Institute and Oxford University, he has been advising developing countries, international organisations and donors on development financing and debt issues since 1991. He handles design and liaison with developing country policymakers, donors and regional and international partner organisations. His specialisations are in debt relief, analysing the quality and sustainability of new aid and private flows, and fiscal, financial sector and macroeconomic issues.

Alison Johnson, DRI Programme Manager, formerly with the Commonwealth Secretariat and the School of Oriental and African Studies, she has worked on debt issues with developing countries since 1986. Alison is primarily responsible for managing projects in Anglophone countries, the information products and distance-learning programme, and for analysing external and domestic debt and aid-related issues.

Juan Carlos Vilanova Pardo, DRI Programme Manager, formerly with the World Bank, he has been a senior consultant to the HIPC CBP since 1999, and resident debt advisor to Guinea Bissau and São Tome e Príncipe. Juan Carlos manages projects in Hispanophone and Lusophone countries, and West African countries falling under the remit of WAIFEM. Juan Carlos specialises in external debt analysis and institutional/capacity-building needs assessment.

David Waddock, Finance & Office Manager, deals with all financial and contractual aspects of the programme, as well as the day to day running of the office, staff recruitment and personnel issues.

Nils Bhinda, FPC CBP Programme Manager, is responsible for overall management of the programme, especially liaison with West Africa and Tanzania, and work in Francophone Africa and Latin America. He also leads on publications and website development, and specialises in institutional support and investor perception analysis.

Myriam Sallah, HIPC CBP Programme Administrator, responsible for the administration of all francophone and MEFMI REgion anglophone events. She is also responsible for the production of the Publications series.

Maria Holloway, HIPC CBP Programme Administrator, is responsible for the administration of hispanophone, lusophone and some anglophone projects, and the updating of the HIPC CBP website.

Jeannette Laouadi, FPC CBP Programme Administrator /Newsletter Coordinator, is responsible for the administration of FPC CBP projects, including information sharing and website development. She is the initial point of contact for all people interested in DFI projects and is also responsible for the production of the FPC Publications series as well as the combined HIPC / FPC quarterly newsletter.

Sandrine Levy, Travel Co-ordinator & Distance-Learning Administrator, handles the organisation of all travel logistics, including flights, accommodation and visa requirements for consultants and regional participants. In addition, Sandrine is responsible for the administration of the distance-learning programme.

Lance Karani, Office and Website Administrator, handles day to day running of the technical office, database management as well general finance support, working alongside the Finance Manager. Lance is responsible for all technical/administrative aspects of the website, the administration of webmembers and for implementing all of the updates
